10 Seater Mahogany Dining Set - D End Table and Fiddleback Chairs

This Auction is for a brand new 10 Seater D End Table, 8 Fiddleback Side Chairs and 2 Carvers.

Make no mistake this is a first class Mahogany Dining Set. It is constructed entirely from solid mahogany and all the carved detailing is hand worked by craftsmen.

Table
The table is a very substantial piece made in the same traditional manner as the Victorian originals on which it is based. The table top is solid (not veneered MDF of chipboard) and has graceful eliptical 'D' ends. The legs are hand turned and carved from solid timber and are fitted with good quality brass castors.The table is 1.2m wide and 1.8m long when closed. It has 2 removable leaves each 45cm, and can be used with 1 or 2 leaves, extending to 2.7m (9ft) long when both leaves are fitted. A mechanical winder is fitted underneath the table to extend it.

Chairs
As with the table, the chairs are solid timber throughout, are craftsman built and hand carved. Carved and turned details in the chair legs match through to the table. The set is supplied with 8 Fiddleback Side Chairs and 2 Fiddleback Carvers.

Upholstery
The chairs are traditionally upholstered with fully sprung bases. At present the chairs are uphostered and covered up to calico. They will be finished off with your choice of fabric from our standard range within the Buy it Now price. There is a wide choice of fabrics available. Further details and photos will be supplied on request. Or you can specify alternative fabric or supply your own.

Colour and Finish
The Dining Set is nicely finished in a lighter Antique Mahogany colour with an attractive antique effect finish that gives this period piece a subtle appearance of age.

Availability/Viewing

Delivery
Delivery can be arranged before Christmas. It is our recommendation that if possible the set is delivered on our transport. Our delivery crew will carry in and setup. The set can be delivered to any area of the UK, more distant areas may take longer and will cost more. We will quote our most reasonable rate to your address on receipt of your post code. Alternatively you are welcome to collect, or we can send via a 3rd party carrier.

Overall dimensions
When fully extended the dining set would need an area of approximately 4m x 2.5m to seat 10.

Terms
A 25% deposit will be invoiced on close of auction, Payment of this will be required within 3 days of auction close. Once deposit is received we will complete the upholstery to your choice. The balance of payment will be due in cleared funds before the goods are despatched.
